Homework Supervision and Academic Support:

In Canopy, students learn the habit of taking ownership of their homework through our homework planner, and they are rewarded with play time after their due diligence is completed. Our teachers  guide and students with their homework, and are trained to identify students who need additional help with a particular subject.

Students needing additional help can be supported through an optional EAS programme (Enhanced Academic Support) where they are given more dedicated support during some playtime slots in the week.

Outdoor Play and Physical Activity:
Outdoor play is not only beneficial for the healthy physical development of a child, it gives them the opportunity to develop socially with their peers both through structured and unstructured play. In addition to this, in Canopy, we bring students to parks twice a week. Aside from its playgrounds being able to support a wide variety of unstructured play, the parks also offer an excellent opportunity for students to be in touch with nature.

Indoor Play and Board Games
Where weather does not permit, at Canopy we engage our students with board games, team bonding games and other forms of indoor play. Board games are great at helping students develop problem-solving skills while also developing resilience. In addition to this, students sometimes have to teach each other to play, and this offers them a chance to develop socially as well.

Enrichment Courses:
From music and art to STEM and cultural studies, we offer a variety of enrichment classes that allow children to discover new interests and talents. These activities are designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, promote self-expression, and inculcate the value of a growth mindset.

Life Skills and Values-Based Workshops:

Regular workshops are conducted in Canopy which focus on essential life skills such as communication, empathy, problem-solving, and resilience. Through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, children learn the values of respect, responsibility, and cooperation.

Our after-school program is more than just care —

it's a supportive, stimulating environment where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Timetable.jpg

Timetable

At Canopy, we establish routines to support students in building good habits.

At lunch, they learn good mealtime habits of eating nutritious food and washing up after themselves.

Thereafter, they complete assigned school tasks before proceeding for tea break.

After tea break, students who need additional learning support will spend some time with their weaker subjects. Aside from this, we have a wide variety of engaging activities which encourage students to develop socially, physically and mentally.

Before dismissal, students will engage in a time of silent reading to inculcate a love for reading.

The timetable is designed to offer students a wide variety of activities to broaden their horizons, and yet give set routines to help students develop good habits.

Lunch Menu

Lunch is cooked in-house with fresh ingredients to ensure that they are tasty and nutritious.

The menu is designed with some meals that are familiar to students, such as Chicken Rice, Pasta and Macaroni Soup, and also includes meals with healthy ingredients to broaden their palate and get them used to eating from a wide variety of healthy ingredients such as Broccoli, Pumpkin and Cabbage.

The menu is rotated between Menu 1 and Menu 2 to give variety between weeks, and may be changed from time to time to give children the chance to explore different cuisines.

Last but not least, a slice of fruit tops off the meal.

Mealtime at Canopy is not just about tasty food, it is also about good nutrition to help students grow strong and healthy, and also inculcating the habit of eating healthy.

What our Parents say

parent's testimonial

"My girl had been at Canopy for 3-4 years until she finally graduated last year but still dearly missed all the nice teachers at Canopy! Teachers at Canopy are responsible, caring and will always update parents on the well-being of our child from time to time. They too provide a very cohesive learning environment with mini library/reading corner with variety of books, displaying the students' art & craft etc. Thanks for nurturing my girl for the past few years and seeing her grown up to be a sensible young lady."

"I like that the teachers are very caring at Canopy and at Canopy, there is a good balance of outdoor play and academic support. My child looks forward to the outdoor play every week and he also looks forward to the exciting holiday programmes that the student care plans for them during the school holidays. Meals are healthy and the facilities are clean. Overall a great experience!"

Xin Yi, parent of P2 student

parent's testimonial

"I cannot recommend Canopy Student Care highly enough. The teachers, the space and mostly the individual effort the staff make for each child, is every parents dream. They treat the children like their own, and take a vested interest in each child and every. Always reporting back to the parents on the child's progress both academically, socially and emotionally. A holistic student care that takes care of and monitors my child's development and needs. Not only has my child improved academically but Canopy Student Care encourages other interest beyond the books - the arts, creation, the environment, the world around us, imagination and play. My child has blossomed and is thriving in the environment Canopy provides. [...]
